Wednesday and Thursday
For Wednesday in Introduction to Philosophy we discussed the source of everything. Plato, Aquinas, and even Flourishing according to Volf and Brooks. The video is posted here. The quiz question was how do you think evolution designs things? Or something like that. For Thursday Early Modern Philosophy we discussed Heidegger and Sartre, and existence. Sartre perhaps had a bad time in life but I find his philosophy a little odd. Life is what you make it if one has a problem with a simple object the problem is not the object it is the viewer that is thinking or reacting to much from the viewers point of view. Sartre him self is acting more like real early Euro-hippy. the reality of peoples life if you do not work one is not going to eat apposed to people who work and get to eat and be happy about it. I think Sartre's idea's are one of hope but the real world does not work that way.
